Using an NVMe drive to connect this product can obtain speeds of up to nearly 900mb/s. But generally the speed of the SSD is greater than 500mb/s.

Q2: Do I need to connect the power supply?

This product normally does not require a power supply. However, a >60W power supply is required when this product is connected to too many interfaces, or when using a >2TB SSD.

If the hard disk connected to the product is a new hard disk that has not been formatted or the drive character has not been assigned, run format in My Computer->Management->Disk Management.
